I'll Rise

This world is cruel,

There are vultures everywhere,

Waiting for that opportunity,

To give you pain, that you can’t bear. 

Old folks say, this is how life is supposed to be,

Fighting and Fighting till your last breath,

I say, Winning and Winning is everything,

Second only to faith.

Life may knock me down,

It may give me Lies,

Just like an eagle in the sky,

Ill rise.

Ill rise through the winds,

Ill rise through fire,

Ill rise through the erupted volcano if need be,

I’ll rise to move towards the dream that I see.

Life can throw me fear,

Life can throw me rejection at first sight,

Ill push forward, towards my destiny,

Ill rise to take what’s my birth right.

I may have weakness,

I may not have that bright shining light,

But in this world, I am destined for greatness,

Life can throw me with all its might,

Ill rise to face the fight,

And turn into that bright shining light.

Throw boulders,

Ill rise with my furtive shoulders,

Throw dragon breath,

Ill rise with my wrath,

Throw me lighting and challenge my fate,

I’ll still rise to show you who is great.

Hell, throw me a nuclear bomb,
